100 Years!

The Renaissance Hotel staff surprised the Asheville Rotary Club with an anniversary cake celebrating 100 years of Rotary. Coincidentally, it was 100 years ago to date, that our Rotary Club turned 100. To top off the occasion, Mary Grant, the new chancellor at UNC Asheville, gave the most interesting talk about affordable education. Additionally, Buncombe County's first new district attorney, Todd Williams, was inducted into our club. Williams is Buncombe County's first new district attorney in 24 years. He replaces Ron Moore. Williams is certainly a breath of fresh air for Buncombe County politics.
